Every child deserves a real shot at their dreams.

We close the opportunity gap for children in underserved communities, pairing tangible resources with the confidence, mindset, and social-emotional skills they need to lead tomorrow.

Who We Are

Opportunity, not circumstance, should shape a child's future.

The Dreams Really Exist Foundation was founded by the late Andre Emmett, a Dallas basketball legend who never forgot where he came from. Today we carry his vision forward: meeting kids where they are and giving them what they need to thrive in life, school, and sport.

  • Resources that remove barriers, bikes, coats, gifts, and essentials for families facing real hardship.
  • Social-emotional growth, confidence, goal-setting, and a growth mindset through our Champions Program.
  • Community that shows up, connecting neighborhoods, partners, and mentors around every child.

The Holly Jolly Giveaway

Born from Andre's heart. Carried on by his community.

Before his passing, Andre dreamed of giving bikes to children from single-parent households. Partnering with Josh Howard's foundation and The Carter's House, that dream became Holly Jolly, a joyful shopping experience where families facing loss and hardship are treated like guests of honor.

Each December, our priority is simple: support families whose children have experienced the loss of a parent and are facing significant hardship, and remind every one of them that their dreams still matter.
